Wild Imaginations

Have you been able to revisit a special place from your childhood? Think of your elementary school, your grandmother's house, or your most favorite spot to play with your most treasured toys. These moments likely bring much joy and pure excitement; the world seemed ten times bigger and more colorful than today.

Honestly, when you are a child with a great imagination, the approach to life is that of adventure. "The world is ours to explore!" we said. Why not be inquisitive and interact spontaneously with our surroundings? We sought this life as if it were a gift wrapped in gold.

This imaginative and limitless approach to life is something that brings adults much reminiscent joy. As camp captains, we have felt much admiration for the bright minds in which we encounter with our promising campers. As adults grow older and the world seems to become duller, we can always depend on our youth to color our world with their endless ideas.

The youthful minds of our campers give us endless topics of exploration. Think about it- when was the last time you and your coworkers paused to talk about your favorite reptiles? Or the last time you and a friend created art together and pondered about the unknown of our oceans? These are the types of conversations that take minimal effort to begin with children, as it is their natural ability to inquire and make inferences about our planet.

We encourage families to stimulate their brains with their children. Not only will you learn more about your child, but you may also be surprised about the ideas they can develop. Like us, you may be reminded to never underestimate the power of the wildly imaginative and youthful mind.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution”- Albert Einstein

Yummy Treats

Speaking of imagination, we got to catch a glimpse of how the campers would create something that resembled an a lager or unobtainable object. Have you ever seen a finger trampoline?
