The festival is for Hindus, but it is also celebrated by people of other faiths in India and in various parts of the world. Indian's celebrate by creating Rangoli's. These colorful patterns are created on floors using colored powders, rice, or flower petals are believed to bring good luck and welcome the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi.
