What is a character to you?

According to the dictionary, character is either a person's personality, or it is a person in a novel, play or movie. Although this may be how it is defined, there is so much more meaning to what a character is. A better way to define what a character is, is by saying it is like a magical potion that blends bits of imagination, creativity, and a sprinkle of uniqueness. Imagine characters as friends you create in your mind, each with its own quirks and features. But here's the fun part – the word "character" means something different to everyone! Just like how each one of you brings a special touch to your creations.

This week, our talented camper, Jiyoo, enchanted us with a game that truly showcased the diversity of characters. She ingeniously divided characters into different aspects like hair, clothes, and hands. The twist? You roll a game die to determine each feature of your character! Once all the dice have spoken, you bring your creation to life through drawing. It's like a character lottery, and the results are always fascinating!

The excitement didn't stop there. Another one of our brilliant campers, Makayla, shared that Jiyoo's game reminded her of a creative masterpiece she crafted when she was younger. It's amazing to see how your imaginations intertwine, inspiring each other to explore new realms of creativity.

At TaleTree camp, characters are not just drawings on paper – they are extensions of you and your unique personalities. Some characters may reflect your own quirks and dreams, while others might be inspired by the heroes and heroines you adore.
