Spreading Positivity

Inspiration

What is inspiration? Inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

Our kids at TaleTree know all about this word. Whether they inspire one another, or they are inspired by something else, inspiration is their thing. Many times one kid sees another kids piece of art, and inspires them to build on their creation by giving them ideas of what they can do. For example, a girl had drawn a carton of milk, and another friend in her camp suggested adding cows to the drawing, and she loved the idea.

One of our camp friends, Jayden, said something the other day that really touched our hearts. He told us during camp that if it was not for TaleTree he would not be as confident as he is today about his artwork. He said his friends from camp inspired and encouraged him to continue creating art because he is so talented. Comics are his specialty, and we are so happy to know that TaleTree has pushed him to continue making them. We truly look forward to them every week. That is what TaleTree is all about! Building confidence, making friends, inspiring others, gaining excellent emotional and social skills, and making art!

New Friends

We have had a few new kids join us at TaleTree recently, and we love how easily, and quickly they were able to fit in with their groups and feel comfortable. The older members did an amazing job showing them what TaleTree is all about, spreading positivity, and giving them very nice words of encouragement. Sharing artwork with a whole new group of people can be scary, but our kids always know what to say to make someone feel good about their creations. They help build one another’s confidence, and we can tell how excited they are to be at camp.

One of our new members, Yeonju, is extremely talented. She shares a ton of art weekly, and the kids are amazed at her art skill. We love that she creates an art piece every single day, and how she has inspired some of the older members to start creating more too.
