Smarty Pants
Intelligent Bunch
Our kids in camp are so unbelievably smart for their ages. We are constantly blown away by their knowledge, and without a doubt, we expect to learn something new from them everyday. It is so fascinating to see what areas the kids are experts in, and what topics interest them most. We love how they are able to use their knowledge of things like history, food, movies, characters, etc., to create their artwork.
One of our camp members, Daniel, is very knowledgeable about history, and he speaks very well. He always has really cool facts to share with us about war; which is his favorite topic related to history. When he revealed his age during camp, all of the other kids were shocked to find out he was not older. They all thought he was two years older than he is because of how smart he is, and how well he tells stories.
Another one of our camp members, Stella, is only seven years old in a group of kids aged 10-12. Although she does look younger, she fits in well because she is very smart for her age, and she speaks just like the older kids. Many of the members in her group assumed she was their age, but that she just looked young. She keeps the group exciting because she has the mind of a seven year old, full of a ton of creativity and laughter. Her artwork always cheers us up, and she sure knows how to make others feel good about their art, too. It is great having such smart kids, with amazing creative capabilities.
