What can you make?

This week, we got to learn something new about many of our TaleTree friends! A lot of them enjoy to cook or bake, and many of them know how to make a variety of food all by themselves. Cooking and baking can be seen as another art form, so we were amazed that it is something they like to do, as well as know how to do. Lily was the one who brought up the topic of baking! This week during camp, she showed us a picture of blueberry biscuits she made all by herself. They looked delicious, and her friends were proud of her for being able to make something so good, all by herself. After looking at her biscuits, we found out other friends also have certain dishes they know how to make by themselves. Cassidy told us she loves to make fried rice, specifically egg fried rice, but that she also will put meat in it from her family’s leftovers the night before. Another one of our campers, Precious said her favorite thing to make is pancakes. She likes to top them with fruit and syrup. Aside from making food, our camper, Artur, invented his own mini grill that he has been using to barbecue all different kinds of food. It is outstanding that someone so young was able to create something so innovative all by himself. So far, he has barbecued chicken, sausage, and veggies using his grill. We cannot wait to see what else he is going to cook up with his new creation. We also would love to see the foods you all love to make. If you make anything by yourself, or even with the help of your parents, take a picture of it and upload it to TaleTree. It would be fun to see how you guys can express yourselves through food!
