Summer Time Fun

Summer is so soon, and we know many of our campers are excited. School has been tough this year, and we are so proud of all of you for getting through another year! We know some of our kids do enjoy school, and love learning, but we also have some kids who have been struggling, and are very happy to get a break. It is completely normal to struggle, and we hope everyone gets to have a fun, and relaxing summer, to ease all of the stress school may have caused. Many of you are so busy with all of your sports, and extracurricular activities, and we are so proud of you all for all of your hard work. It definitely does not go unnoticed. You all are extremely talented, and we love that even through school, and your activities, you guys still find time to make creations. Art is a good way to escape, and we know many of you use it calm yourselves down. There are so many different forms of art that can be used to tune into yourself, and give yourself a break. Many of our campers use music as their escape, but there are so many different art forms. Some examples may be writing, drawing, building, painting, sculpting, crafting, or even baking/cooking. Art is expressed in almost all of the things we do. Remember that this summer! If you may have a busy summer, or are going to be traveling a lot, there is still art all around you! You can take a picture of a pretty flower you saw, of a sandcastle you built while at the beach, of some food you might have made with your friends or family, and many other things. We want you all to use this summer to relax, but also to experiment with new things, and new art types to see all that you can come up! We look forward to seeing all of your new creations.

New Inspiration

Is it okay to copy someone else's art? Yes, as long as you give credit to the original creator. It can be a great way to practice and find inspiration. Celebration Through Cakes

Who skips cakes for celebration! A beautiful cake makes a celebration so special. Our friends have made and drawn beautiful cakes. We would love to see if you have special cake ideas. Show us what you imagine or what you can make 🍰🧁

Make Your Own Flag

Flags have been used for identification or signaling to others. Each country has its own flag, and each state in the US has its own flag as well. Our camp friends love to draw awesome flags. We challenge you to create your own flag for your family, school, or friendship! :)
