Plants, Flowers, and More

Many of you have shown a great interest in plants and flowers, and it brings us so much joy to see your enthusiasm. Some of you have been nurturing your own plants, taking care of them, and watching them grow. It's incredible to witness the love and dedication you put into making them thrive. One of our campers, JWK09, grows some of his own fruits and veggies. He has shared pictures of cherries and zucchini with us, and we cannot wait to see what else he grows.

For those who may not have plants of their own, you have found another way to connect with nature—through art! Many of you have been drawing and sketching beautiful flowers. This week, our camper, Ice413m3, shared stunning flowers she drew with us. She had drawn some flowers separately, and then a beautiful rainbow vase with flowers in it. It is great seeing you all express your appreciation for nature through art.

During the summer months, flowers attract all sorts of beautiful creatures, such as butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Many of you also like to draw and make creations of these creatures. We look forward to seeing more as summer nears closer. These tiny visitors help the flowers by spreading pollen and making sure they can reproduce and grow even more, so you all should expect to see even more plants and flowers soon!

Whether you have your own plants or enjoy drawing them, let the beauty of flowers inspire you. Observe them closely. Try to draw them, paint them, recreate them out of different materials, or anything of your choosing! Let your imagination bloom alongside these beautiful gifts from nature.

Flags have been used for identification or signaling to others. Each country has its own flag, and each state in the US has its own flag as well. Our camp friends love to draw awesome flags. We challenge you to create your own flag for your family, school, or friendship! :)
