As we reach the middle of summer, we want to remind you all that summer is the perfect season to embark on exciting new adventures. Have you ever wanted to try something different but felt a little scared? Well, fear not, because summer is all about discovering new things! Whether it's learning to swim, trying a new sport, or even attempting a new craft, there is so much out there waiting for you to explore.

Trying new things might make you a little nervous at first, but guess what? It is all part of the fun! Stepping out of your comfort zone opens up a whole world of possibilities. It's like uncovering a treasure trove of interests and talents you might not have known you had. Who knows, you might find a passion for painting, a talent for dancing, or a love for camping under the stars.

Our campers, Sasha, and Jaeah have both tried out new art styles over the past few months. Branching off into a new art style is a great way to try something new. It may be difficult at first, but it allows for you to learn more about your artistic capabilities. Another one of our campers, Ruby, has completely tried a whole new thing. Her aunt has been teaching her how to crochet. She says it definitely is difficult, and takes time to get the hang of, but she is enjoying it a lot. Right now, she is in the process of making a crochet penguin, and we cannot wait to see the finished product.

Remember, trying new things is not just about discovering what you like; it's also about learning about yourself. You might realize that you're more resilient and courageous than you thought. Even if you try something and decide you do not like it, that is totally okay! It still means a lot to say you tried, and now you know! Trying new things is all about exploring, learning, and growing.
