Get Clever
In the last year, our TaleTree community has made it a point to engage in more sustainable practices. We encourage our campers to stray away from purchasing new materials for their creations and to think instead about what they have within reach. So many clever and surprising solutions have come from this process. Our creative campers turn bottle caps into bathroom sinks, toilet paper rolls into rabbits, boxes into vehicles, branches into tiny homes, and so much more.
As we encourage our campers (and ourselves) to be resourceful with materials for the sake of the Earth, we are also challenging them to explore creativity in unconventional ways. We consider it important to look for creativity in unexpected places to further explore the depths of their own imaginations. This approach nurtures critical thinking not just in artistic processes but also in other facets of intelligence like scientific, mathematical, musical, or spatial thought.
Can you see what kinds of recycled objects were used in this week’s creations?
