Founding Our Bright Futures

Our goal in the TaleTree community is to inspire children’s natural creativity to carry into adulthood. As children grow older and develop their academic skills, it is not uncommon that their creativity will weaken. At TaleTree, we want to provide our members with a space that will ignite longevity in their creative genius.

This week, our camp captains often found themselves reminiscing about what it meant to be a child and wonder about adult life. Children will often depict their bright futures through exclamations such as, “I want to be a rock-star or a fireman when I grow up!”, or, “I want to live in a castle with my family!”. Truly, our camp members reminded us, through their art, that the sky is their limit.

Two of our camp members, Yuju, from camp Paris, and Aurora, from camp Singapore, gave such a positive outlook of what their futures will look like. Aurora displayed the treehouse that she built out of wooden blocks and decided to share her living space with a friend and working at the zoo next door. Yuju shared her amazing video game that walked through the various steps of getting ready for a job interview and completing house chores. It was refreshing to see that children, with their creative genius, can make menial tasks seem bright and eventful.

Zoom with TaleTree

Life during the pandemic has exposed many of us to a virtual lifestyle. On a positive note, this time has shown us that we can stay connected with others worldwide with technology! This challenge invited our camp members to simulate our weekly camp meetings via zoom; for many, camps help sustain relationships while enhancing artistic inspiration.

Cotton Candy Tree

The TaleTree caught a sweet tooth! The delicious idea of a world with cotton candy trees sparked our members to illustrate what these anomalies might look like. Aren't you getting hungry just looking at these creations? We love how our children can use a variety of platforms to shape their art.

3D Modeling

Last weekend, our camp members were invited to a special camp that practiced the art of 3D modeling. To begin, children were asked to think of their favorite TaleTree character and submit their inspired creation. Some of these submissions also portray the 3D modeling skills highlighted during the special camp event. These works definitely stand out!
