From Different Walks of Life

Humans are the most socially-oriented creatures on our planet. For this reason, our species has created detailed ways to communicate with one another: through language. When humans use language, we are mastering our ability to form relationships with one another.

Not only is language a way in which humans have learned to relate to one another, but it is also how we exercise our brains. For example, did you know that bilingual and multilingual individuals have cognitive advantages? According to ELLEARNINGinfographics.com, bilingual individuals have an easier time developing reading comprehension and decreased likelihood of Alzheimer's disease than their monolingual counterparts.

Because being bilingual and multilingual is an asset, we must recognize that community as strong performers of our planet. Sometimes, there are children in our camps who have not yet developed English language proficiency. Our campers must know that all languages are welcome in our TaleTree community. We want everyone to express themselves in a way that is most comfortable to them- especially when they train their thinking skills in the process.

Mad Scientists

Our campers were asked to put their lab coats on and concoct a special magic potion. With the help of an adult, of course, the campers shared their bubbling creations. Would you dare to take a sip?

Colorful Cultures

To celebrate the different demographics that make up our camps, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate different traditions. Can you identify the traditional clothing?

Giant Animals!

If the Megalodon shark were still alive today, we might be more cautious when we venture into ocean waters. Luckily, Megalodon sharks are extinct, but there are still many things to learn about them.
