Trying New Things
New Artwork
Exploring different styles in art is always an interesting, and fun way to branch outside of your comfort zone. It also exposes you to new things that you may really enjoy, but had never thought of before. Art is such an awesome thing because you do not have to be amazing at it to do it. Another cool thing about it, is the more you practice, the better you get.
Along with trying new art styles, you can try to draw things you do not typically draw, in the art style that you already use/ prefer. Two of our camp members, Adelyn and Grace, both drew boys this week. Adelyn drew Loki, and Grace grew a character from Percy Jackson. Both girls find that it is easier to draw girls, and when they draw people they typically draw girls, so we were excited to see them try something new. They both stuck to their original art style, but it was cool being able to see how they can use their talents to draw something challenging for them. Try to draw something that may be challenging for you! It is always good to try new things because you never know how you may surprise yourself.
Art Styles
What is an art style? An art style describes the way an artwork looks. It is how an artist expresses their own vision. Everyone at TaleTree has a different art style, and that is what makes each one of you unique. We can usually tell when a certain kid created something based on their art style. This is what makes art so beautiful. It is different based on every single person, yet it still brings all of us together.
Who Sits on the Seesaw?
A seesaw needs at least two people to ride on. If you could seat someone on your seesaw, who would you pick? You? Your sibling? Who?
Crazy Imagination
Art is not just about drawing what you see. If you add imagination, it can make your art even more fun and interesting. Share your imagination with everyone!
