Little Geniuses

Children are often a lot smarter than we realize. They show their intelligence in different ways, and it is really fascinating to see how they do so. When we think of kids being smart, we often think that means they must be good at school. Of course, if someone is good at school, they are smart, but that is not the only indicator of intelligence. A child can show their intelligence through their interests. This can be art, food, jewelry, cars, dolls, animals, famous people, and so much more. The great thing is that you can have multiple interests, therefore you can be smart in several different topics.

Two of our TaleTree members, Juwan and Artur, proved that to us this week. Juwan loves to code, and he had figured out how to make games through coding on a website called Scratch. Artur loves car, and he built a replica of a car engine all by himself. He told us a lot about how it works, and he knows the names of tons of different cars. They are both extremely smart for their age, and it was amazing to see what they are capable of.

Many other of our kids are super smart in certain topics just like Juwan and Artur. Some examples are Stella and Sophie. Stella knows the breed names of all of the most popular dogs and horses. She really wowed us with how much she knew about horses because we had no idea there were so many different breeds. Sophie is really smart when it comes to jewelry and dessert making. She makes the most beautiful bracelets, necklaces, and earrings, while also being able to whip up any kind of dessert you could imagine. Our kids truly are remarkable.

All of our kids at TaleTree are little geniuses. They always come to camp with either something new they created, a new story to tell, a new fun fact, or something they learned that they want to teach us. Just as kids learn from adults, we too can learn from them. They never fail to teach us something new everyday.
