Do you have a favorite thing?

When we think of a favorite thing, what first comes to mind? As people, we often have many favorite things such as our favorite color, food, game, animal, character, etc. The cool thing about favorite things is that we often have the same ones as many other people. These are what help to connect us at all. At TaleTree, many of our campers are more similar than they think. Kids from completely different groups often create similar art pieces without ever seeing the other one before. It is really amazing how you guys can share similar favorites, and portray them in your creations, all while having completely different art styles.

Some fan favorites here at TaleTree are: girl characters, cars, animals (specifically cats and dogs), Pokemon, Roblox, and sweets. We see the most creations of girls and animals, and our kids say these are their favorite things to draw because they have become most familiar with it. Pokemon has become very popular recently, and you guys all do an amazing job at recreating the characters. They always look exactly like them.

We love that our kids all have so many favorite things, because when you favorite something, you typically know a lot about it. All of our campers are so smart, and we continue to learn from them everyday. Artur teaches us a lot about different types of cars, and how they operate. Jaeah teaches us fun facts about animals, specifically birds. Sophie has taught/ explained the process of making all kinds of desserts. Stella teaches us about horses. Obviously, there are many more examples of things we learn from each and every one of our kids, but these are just a few of them. These kids are all very passionate about the things they teach us about, and their passion is greatly shown in their artwork.

My Own Card Design

Have you ever played Uno? The cards you use for that game have Queen, Jack, King, Ace, and numbers up to 10 in 4 different shapes: diamond, spade, club, and heart. 52 cards altogether. Can you create your own design of a card?

Dragons Are Always Cool!
