Friends of the Sea

Ocean Life

Let's dive into the amazing world of ocean life and why it is super important to protect our oceans. Jay, one of our campers, made the coolest origami great white shark! Its mouth even open and closed, which was really cool. His creation sparked an incredible conversation about sharks. We talked about these incredible creatures, and how they are a vital part of the ocean's ecosystem.

As we chatted about sharks, we ended up talking about megalodons, the giant sharks that lived a long time ago. This got us even more curious about sea life in general. We realized that the oceans are home to countless animals, big and small, like colorful fish, playful dolphins, and mysterious sea turtles. It is like a huge underwater city filled with all sorts of fascinating residents!

During our camp, Sumi reminded us about something really important. She said that when we are at the beach or exploring the ocean, we should always leave the animals right where we find them. Animals, just like us, have families and friends, and we do not want to disturb their homes or separate them from their loved ones. So, let's remember to protect our oceans, and the incredible creatures that call it home. We can do our part by keeping their habitats safe and clean so they can continue to thrive in their beautiful underwater world.
