We Learn From You!

Kids Can Teach Adults, Too
You know how each week at camp, we are always learning new stuff together? Well, here's the deal: while we are here to guide and teach you, we also learn from you too. Every single week, without even realizing it, you guys teach us something new, and it's pretty cool.

This week, two campers named Ellie and Jay brought something to our attention that we had never even heard of before - tensegrity. It might sound complex, but it's actually pretty fascinating. Tensegrity is all about how structures are held together by a balance of pushing and pulling forces. Ellie and Jay showed us some models they made, and it was very interesting. We did a quick google search and discovered that 'tensegrity' is often used in large sculptures for artwork.

We are always impressed by the knowledge and creativity you guys bring to camp. You amaze us everyday with your intelligence. Although many kids think they cannot teach people who are older than them, that is not true at all. Maybe our teachers and parents are older than us, and we learn a lot from them, but we can also learn from people younger than us. Consider how you often learn new things from your friends! Just like you learn from your friends, we learn from you. All people are always looking to learn more, and a majority of our knowledge often times comes from those younger than us.

Everyone is always craving more knowledge, and gets excited about learning new things, so keep doing what you're doing. Keep exploring, keep learning, and keep sharing your knowledge with us. We know that no matter what, we will always learn something new from you all each week.

Rescue Mission!

Greetings, everyone! I'm Robin from CARDA, where we specialize in supporting law enforcement in locating the missing. We need to get intensive training with our trusty canine companions, building a strong bond to achieve our mission. I'm excited to share some stories with TaleTree kids about working alongside my faithful partner, Nova, in our search efforts. Before we dive into our adventures, I'm eager to hear your thoughts. Can you imagine how I train Nova? Sketch your thoughts on what's needed to train Nova! ;)

Craft Your Beat!

Hello, kid inventors and musicians! It's Marc Yu here. Before our meeting, I'd like you to have some fun making musical instruments from things you find at home. How about turning a box into a drum or tambourine? What are the things you can easily find at home? Use your imagination and see what you can create. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
