A Love for Art

Some Words From Our Kids

The kids had a lot of amazing things to say this week. One of our camp members Sophie, warmed our hearts the other day. Without even realizing, she expressed her love for art, and had some beautiful things to say about it. She said that art should never be frustrating because there is never a set goal. Art can be anything, and if you just create something you should be happy with the outcome. Another one of our camp members Jayden, had said he sometimes get frustrated with his art, but then agreed with Sophie when saying that this typically only happens if he sets goals for himself.

The best thing about art is that there are no rules. You can simply create whatever you want, and let your imagination do all of the work. Art is subjective, meaning that it can truly be anything, even if it looks different in everyone’s eyes. Art is exciting because of the fact that it can be interpreted differently by everyone. That is what TaleTree is all about. Just creating whatever comes to mind, and sharing it for all to see.

A Story Within A Story

Our camp kids sure do love to share stories with one another. They often take one story a kid told, and then develop the story even further by adding their own thoughts to it. One of our camp kids had showed two of his stuffed animals during his camp, one of which was a rainbow hamster. Another kid had said that the hamster must be this color because it swam in a rainbow lake. Their imaginations are endless, and we love seeing how they can all work together to create such creative and elaborate stories.

Snowflake

Snowflakes are amazing because they come in all different shapes and sizes, just like humans! Can you create your own snowflake?

Everything Is Okay With Rainbow

Everyone loves the rainbow because it feels energizing and refreshing. What can you create with rainbow colors?

Pointillism

Pointillism is an art movement in which hundreds of thousands of dots are used to create a picture. Let’s see what you can create!
