There is So Much to Be Thankful For

Thanksgiving is the one day out of the year where we truly express how thankful we are for all of the things we have, as well as all of the people in our lives. Although this day is dedicated to giving thanks, we should be thankful every single day. Whether you are thankful for the food on your plate, it being sunny outside, or doing good on your test, there is always something to be thankful for. We often take what we have for granted, and do not take time to appreciate all of the little things in life. All of us are lucky in our own ways, and it is important to realize this luck, and not compare ourselves to others. The worst thing about us is that we often compare what we have to what our friends have, and we forget to cherish the things we do have. Life is so valuable, and it should always be enjoyed because it offers so many amazing things.

Those Less Fortunate

It is important to be thankful for everything we have, but it is also important to realize that there are a lot of people who are less fortunate than we are. We can find active ways to help these people, and do our part in always being kind to them. Many people do not have the opportunity to be with their families during the holidays, or enjoy a wonderful meal. To help those who may not have been able to eat on Thanksgiving, you can donate food, such as canned goods, to homeless shelters, where they prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for those who are homeless, or just need some love. The holidays are a hard time for many people, which is why we must be thankful everyday, and not narrow our thanks down to one specific day out of the year.
