Excitement Week

Great Storytellers

After the week off from Thanksgiving, the kids had so many amazing stories to tell. We got to hear all about their weeks and how they celebrated their Thanksgiving holiday. Many of the kids went on vacation and told us about all the activities they did while away. They had so much to be thankful for, and we love how appreciative they are of one another’s artwork. We keep trying to remind them that it is important to be thankful everyday, because there is always something to be thankful for. Hearing their stories about their break proved to us how thankful they are for the little things in life, whether it was being thankful for the piece of cheesecake they had, or just for being able to spend extra time with their families.

Time With Friends

All of the kids were so excited to come back to camp and see their friends. It was great to see that they still created art while on break, and they could not wait to share it. Many of the kids were begging to share their creations first because they could not contain their excitement. Something they really love to do is have the other kids guess what their creations are about before they actually share the story with us. It helps to keep everyone engaged, and when the kids guess right, we can tell how happy it makes them.

We love how nice all of the kids are to one another, and how kind they are with their words. They always make positive comments about their friends artwork, and it is amazing how even though they may have never met each other in person, they are still able to establish friendships online. It is great that we can all get together, and talk about something we are all passionate about, art.
