Very Intelligent Kids

All of the camp kids make brilliant connections in their brains after they observe something. During their camps, they often look at one of their other camp members artwork, and they immediately say what it reminds them of, or what they think the artwork was aiming at portraying. When showing the kids who our Special Camp guest is going to be for this December, and showing them a few picture of his art, one kid made an awesome connection. He said that the artist’s work reminded him of the “take money and run art.” If you have not heard of this, it is basically a big blank canvas that a Danish artist is using to take advantage of his reputation, claiming the blank canvas as a work of art. This is the opposite of what our special guest does with his art, but the boy saw how Lorenz, our special guest, has immensely filled up his canvas with all kinds of abstract objects, which he tied to the potential the Danish artist could have had with his blank canvas.

We love being able to see how they can immediately make these kinds of connections by quickly looking at something, and not giving it much thought. If we continue to expose various things to kids at their young, raw age, it will help to further expand their imagination horizon.

Happy Holidays

It is finally holiday season, and all of the kids are so excited. We have many holiday challenges for this month that we would love for all of your kids to try out.
