Quick Thinkers

All of the kids can think super quickly on the spot. They love to answer questions, and be the first one to answer. Many of them get so excited to talk that they all speak at the same time, but it shows us how much they love being with their friends. During our special camp this week, all of the kids that joined showed how quickly they are able to think. When our special guest, Lorenz, asked what else he should add to his Christmas themed drawing, they came up with ideas immediately. Some kids suggested adding candy, animal footprints, snow, grass, flowers, and much more. It was amazing to see how the kids suggestions excited Lorenz, and it seemed almost as if it brought him back to his childhood. He is an abstract artist, and he is capable of filling up a whole page with art in a matter of minutes. Just like the kids, he is a quick thinker, able to come up with ideas related to a theme, such as Christmas, and draw them right away. It was really interesting to see how quickly he was able to draw things, and how he did not have to put much thought into what he was creating.

A Love for Holidays

The kids all seemed super excited for Christmas, and we hope they all had a wonderful day. We loved being able to see all the artwork they created centered around Christmas, and we cannot wait to see what they can come up with for our upcoming holiday, New Years. Many of them shared some gifts they had already gotten, and we loved seeing how happy it made them. Although gifts are an exciting part of Christmas, we continue to remind them that gifts do not have to be something you buy. As a creative camp, we encouraged them to try to make something for their friends or family, to show them how much they love them. The holidays are all about spreading love and cheer, and being able to spend time with those you love.
