Tale Tree Healing Camp

While our kids are away from school, it’s so important that they get enough social time. Some of our camp kids have expressed their frustration about not being able to do too much other than doing math and other studying at home. This week, we witnessed many kids wanting to talk about what bothers them at home these days. They openly spoke about their annoying siblings and demanding parents. When one person starts, another kid backs him/her up. It’s clear many kids share the same challenges. Then they start giggling and laughing together about the things they complain about. Suddenly, their headaches are shared and they feel much better. Kids seem to produce their own medicine to heal themselves and others. This is when Tale Tree becomes a “healing camp” - healing through sharing creative minds and empathizing with one another :)

Challenge 1
Imagine your own version of treasure island. What must be in there? What are treasures to you?

Challenge 2
Apple, Samsung and some other companies make more advanced mobile devices each year. If you worked there, what are the capabilities you would like to add on? Think about some new features that you think should be added.

Challenge 3
You can create things that are pretty cool with a piece of paper. Come up with something interesting with some garbage paper.
