Building friendship through sharing laughter

Many kids are naturally social. They are excited to be with others. They smile, laugh and speak about their lives and things without being asked. On the other hand, some kids are shy. Some kids show no emotions on their faces. They are just a bit uncomfortable to be with others they don’t know at the beginning. The best way to ease these children is laughter! Some kids bring creations based on really funny ideas. The funny elements might not be obvious at first. Once they start describing what they’ve done and why, kids start giggling and laughing. They sometimes shake their bodies and heads laughing out loud. That’s when no one is shy. The kids start asking questions, making funny comments and telling their own stories. Then the creator of the laughter seems to be so happy and proud.

This week, we’ve had so much fun laughing thanks to some brilliant kids :) Sharing good laughter has made us feel closer, more comfortable and more confident.

Challenge 1

In the world, there are so many famous landmarks, buildings and monuments. What do you think of when you think of Paris? One of the first things you visualize might be Eiffel Tower. What about Barcelona? You might have seen a picture of Sagrada Famillia, the cathedral Gaudi started in 1886 but couldn’t finish (Gaudi died in 1926). It’s still being built. What is your favorite architecture? Could it be something in your city? Take this as an opportunity to paint or draw your favorite building, bridge, monument or some piece of architecture!

Challenge 2
Are you into sports? If so, what can you do to exercise during Covid-19?

Challenge 3
Can you make your own unique picture frames that you can’t easily find at stores? You may reuse the frames you have at home, too, but make them more interesting!
