Pets and People

Love for Pets

Almost everyone at TaleTree loves animals. Many of them have their own pets, but if they do not, they still have a love for animals. Some of our campers are very brave, having favorite animals that are not as common. One of our members, Jay, really likes centipedes and spiders. Most people are afraid of these things, but he is fascinated by them and considers them his favorite animals. Other TaleTree members really like reptiles, specifically snakes. It is so fascinating to see how they can love animals that most people would say they are afraid of, and never want to be around. Aside from these “scary” animals, the majority of our members love cats and dogs. They make such amazing pets, and having a best friend in animal form is one of the best gifts. The best thing about pets, and animals in general, is that they love us just as much (if not more) than we love them. All they know is happiness, and they continue to share their love with us. Being around animals is proven to put a person in a better mood, so we really enjoy seeing how much you all love animals. Some of you do not have a pet but that is okay! You can still share this great love for animals, and hopefully you get to play with some of your friends pets. Maybe your family does not want a pet now, but that does not mean you can’t get one when you are older! Just remember that they are a lot of responsibility, and they can be very difficult to take care of. As Sumi always say, if you do not have a pet, a plant can be your pet. Plants also need a lot of care, and they take time and effort to make sure they stay alive. They are a good way to prove responsibility and to get used to having to take care of something that belongs to you, every single day. We cannot wait to hear more about your love for animals, and we hope to see more animal based drawings, especially of your pets if you have them!
