Emotions Are Good

Emotions are good because they let us know how we are feeling. It is good to be able to understand your emotions, even if they may not always make you feel good. Sometimes we get mad at ourselves for being sad, but it is okay to be sad! Being sad is not always fun, but allowing yourself to feel sad will end up making you feel a lot better instead of trying to hold in your feelings. When you are sad, try to think of some things that make you happy! Maybe it is hanging out with a friend, drawing, listening to music, exercising, taking a shower, and so many other things. We are very lucky that we have so many things that can quickly turn our mood around. Remember that if you are sad, it is just a feeling that is passing through. The sadness does not define you as a person. A person can feel sad but it does not mean they are always a sad person. Our minds may trick us into feeling trapped, but it is important to realize that you can overcome your emotions. Emotions are not permanent feelings, they are conscious mental reactions that occur due to something that has happened to us, or around us. When you are feeling any certain way that may be uncomfortable, always try to talk to someone. TaleTree is always here for all of you, and we are always available to listen to your emotions. Sharing them can be scary, but being able to talk them out and express yourself will make you feel so much better in the end. We love knowing how you guys are feeling, and are thankful you guys feel comfortable to talk to us about your feelings. We hope that TaleTree can always put you in a better mood!
