Passionate and Proud
Being Proud
To be proud is to have great self-respect or dignity. A person can be proud of themselves, but they can also be proud of someone or something else. Our Taletree kids know all about what it means to be proud. Everyday, they show their friends how proud they are of them. They do so by giving them kind words about their art pieces, and commenting on them in the Zoom chat. They are always very passionate when seeing their friends creations, and when learning new things. We always love to see the smiles on all of their faces every time they receive a compliment. The best way to show someone that you care, and that you are proud of them is to listen to them. That is what TaleTree is all about. Each and every kid gets to talk about the creation they made while we all tune in and listen to them. Being able to talk about your accomplishments allows you to be proud of yourself, and that is the best version of being proud. Everyone should be proud of themselves for all of their hard work, and all of the challenges they have faced.

Creating New Things
We love when you guys challenge yourselves, and take a big step outside of your comfort zone. It is always great seeing you guys create things you never have before, even if it may have been challenging. A lot of our camp kids have a specific drawing style, which we love because we can always spot out their artwork, but we also love when they branch out and test out a new stye. One of our camp members, Hayim, created a box car. It was such an amazing creation, and all of the kids loved it. It was awesome to see her create something new, as her typical creations consist of drawings of beautiful girls and princesses. Another one of our members, Yeonju, took on our challenge, but added her own twist to it. She normally draws animals in all different settings, but we challenged her to draw a girl. She did so, but she gave the girl cat ears. She told us that her drawing was a cat in human form. We are happy both girls were able to try something new, and create such wonderful art pieces.

Mascots are good luck charms. Many events and organizations use mascots just like TaleTree’s friends. Can you draw the next mascot for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy? Make sure to give it a name!
