Love for Games

Pokemon

We found out this week that many of you share the same love and/ or interest for Pokemon. Maybe you do not care for it much anymore, but the majority of you did at some point. It was really exciting to see how much joy talking about it brought you all. It is such a cool feeling when something so simple like a game can bring people together. The drawings of the different characters you guys have done recently have been amazing, and we cannot wait to see you take on more. At least three of our camp members from the same group all had the same Pokemon book, and they were giving each other certain Pokemon that they should draw. This was really fun, and one of our kids, Sophie, was able to complete a drawing that replicated the character perfectly in just 15 minutes!

Although Pokemon is a top favorite, many of you are inspired by many other games you play. It is great to see that your main goal is not to just get to the end of the game, and win, but that you can use aspects of the game to spark your creativity. Two of our longer term members, Sasha, and Jaeah, really take away a lot from the games they play. Both of them use the games they play very often for inspiration fo their art. Sasha combined two characters from her favorite game, and it was beautifully executed. Jean often draws these amazing creatures from one of her favorite games, and they are nothing like we have ever seen before. All of you are all so creative, and we love seeing what they can create based on their favorite things. Whenever you cannot think of what to draw, think back to your favorite game, or favorite things, and your options will be endless.

My Own Story Book

Many of you love to make your own stories. We love to hear all about them. Do you have a new story that you have been working on?

Master Chef

Making good food takes a lot of creativity. Have you ever made any food? Some of you guys have made, drawn, or crafted food before. Show us what you can make!

What do you Doodle?

Sometimes, you find yourself doodling without even realizing it. Find your doodling examples and share them with us. Maybe they are on the back of your math homework!

Never Ending Bunnies

Our of our camp members, Jane, has created bunnies of all different kinds: zombies, fruits, rainbows, fire, and more. Can you create all kinds of dogs, cats, or whatever your favorite animal is?
