Learn Together
Learning Can Be Fun!
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” -Henry Ford
TaleTree may seem like it is just a fun way to share your artwork and hangout with your friends, but it is so much more! Kids learn so much at TaleTree without even realizing it. The camps make learning exciting. We love being able to see how much our kids are capable of teaching others. They all either learn something new every camp, or teach one of their friends something new. TaleTree is a great way for you all to foster your creativity, and show us how intelligent you are. As Henry Ford says, learning keeps us young, so it is important to make sure you allow yourself to always learn new things.
Pokémon
Even if you may not be interested in Pokémon, you have definitely heard of it before. Pokémon is a role playing game where you build small teams of monsters to battle against other monsters in a fight to become the best. You do not always have to play the game though. Many of our kids at TaleTree prefer to just collect Pokémon cards and redraw the characters. Pokémon is super popular amongst a majority of our TaleTree friends. We have one group of experts and their names are: Aaron, Elin, Chan, Alice, and Elin’s little sister Irene. They all have their own Pokémon card collections, and they like to draw the characters. They learn new things from one another about Pokémon such as new characters, and new evolutions of characters. Elin loves to draw the evolutions of the characters, and when she shows the pictures of them, Aaron almost always know what character it is. He teaches other group members the names, and they all encourage each other to draw more characters. Something like Pokémon can be a fun learning experience without even realizing you are learning. When it is something you love, learning can be fun, and you will strive to continue to know more.
Mug Art
Have you ever made a mug with your art on it? Why don't you find a spare mug and create some art on it!
What is Happening in Emerald Forest?
You see all the TaleTree Friends are gathering in Emerald Forest? They look so busy. Why? What is happening? Can you imagine what might be happening?
Spooky Halloween
Halloween will be here in a month! Many of us love Halloween and spooky stories. What is your spooky story that still creeps you out?
International Bunny Day!
The fourth Saturday of September was the International Rabbit Day! There are more than 300 breeds of rabbits around the world and they make such great pets as well. They are cute, funny, and social. Can you make a story about bunnies?
Make Your Song!
Eugene Lee, our Special Guest at the Special Camp last Friday showed you how such a simple song, “Twinkle Star,” could turn into something much more interesting. Everything starts with simple basics though. Do you think you can make your own song? This poem: “I love my mom in the same ways stars love the sky,” was written by 6-year-old Johannes and we would love to see you how you turn it into a song. You can, of course, make your own poem and put some melody to it, too.
