Love for Our Planet

This week during camp, a popular topic was planet Earth, and how it is so important that we do all we can to take care of it. Two of our super cool campers, Precious and Makayla, shared some amazing ideas about how we can keep our Earth happy and healthy!

Makayla is a true recycling champion. Instead of getting new things for her dollhouse, she is using old cardboard boxes and paper to create all the furniture and decorations! She's teaching us that we can reuse things and give them a new life instead of making more waste. By doing this, Makayla is helping to reduce the amount of trash that goes into landfills, and that's really good for our planet. Of course it is okay to have toys, but we never want to just keep buying more when we already have so many! There are multiple ways to bring your old toys back to life, or even to make some of your own toys!

Then there is Precious, who is a fantastic artist. She's been drawing beautiful pictures that remind us of the beauty of Earth. This week, she drew Earth divided into four parts to show us what our planet should look like, both during the day and at night. She's showing us how important it is to keep our air clean, our oceans blue, and our forests green. When we asked other campers how they can do their part to keep the Earth happy they said, plant trees, recycle, and start a garden. It makes us really happy knowing that even at such a young age they want to do all they can to help.

So, remember, every little thing we do to take care of Earth matters – from recycling and reusing like Makayla to creating awareness and appreciating the beauty of our planet like Precious. Let's follow their awesome examples and be Earth's superheroes by making choices that keep our home happy and healthy!
